Clinical Excellence

The NSH Clinical Quality team focuses on assisting facilities in order to ensure the efficient delivery of accessible, high quality, safe, cost effective, patient-centered and timely healthcare services. In the present national environment, a highly structured approach to the pursuit of quality is essential.  With increased public reporting and transparency over the past few years, facilities have been faced with increased competitive pressures, continuing resource constraints, and rising customer expectations. An organized system to achieve high quality can also lead to lower health care costs.

Our model for quality healthcare sets forth a common approach to quality assurance, utilization review, risk management and infection control within all NSH facilities, while continuously focusing to improve quality management.

We provide a framework to assist facilities in healthcare delivery:

  • Organization
  • Communication
  • Monitoring
  • Continuous improvement initiatives

We provide evidence-based, patient-focused, and fiscally responsible quality services for all NSH facilities.  Our quality focus is supported by goal-oriented, data-driven daily practices at each NSH facility. The Clinical Quality team designs performance improvement initiatives in order to achieve measurable improvement in processes and outcomes of care. We strive to align processes, technology, people, values and policies that lead to continuous improvement.

Our Clinical Quality team has adopted a culture of life-long learning.  We constantly seek new, innovative ways of meeting facility needs and exceeding expectations.
